Syrian army soldiers repelled terrorists’ massive attack on their positions in Hama province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on them.

The ISIL terrorists’ large-scale attack to capture the government forces’ positions in Hama was fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Homs and Aleppo, over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in Syria’s key provinces.

Hama

Syrian military forces repelled terrorist groups’ large-scale attack on government positions in the Western flank of the town of al-Salamiyah, inflicting a heavy death toll on the militants.

Hundreds of terrorists, equipped with heavy military hardware, stormed the army’s defense lines in the Western side of al-Salamiyah, but their offensive was fended off by the army soldiers who had the militants’ movements under constant watch.

In the meantime, some units of the army had set up several ambush attacks on the militants in al-Satahi’yat region and preempted them.

Tens of militants were killed or wounded in the failed attack, but there is no accurate report on their number.

The terrorist groups, who have carried out different offensives Southern Hama and Northern Homs, have thus far been unsuccessful in weakening security of al-Salamiyah region.

Al-Salamiyah is of paramount importance due to its proximity to the main path used by the terrorists to transfer fighters and equipment from Central Syrian to the Northern parts of the country.

Aleppo

The Syrian army and popular forces continued their advances in the Eastern part of Aleppo and managed to take control of one of the most important military bases of the terrorists in the area.

The army units and their allies beat back terrorists from al-Sakhour region and started purging the region of terrorists just one day after capturing Hanano Housing Project and the district of Jabal (mount) Badrou earlier on Sunday.

The seizure of al-Sakhour region divided the areas under the terrorists’ control into the two Northern and Southern regions, leaving the Jeish al-Fatah militants disconnected from North to South.

The Syrian army and allied forces started a new phase of their military operations in areas North of the Eastern districts of Aleppo city on Sunday.

The Syrian army started fresh military operations in Baeedin district just to the North of the Eastern districts in a bid to increase pressure on the terrorist groups already besieged by the government troops in those areas.

In the early hours of the military operations, Iraqi popular forces managed to take control of nearly 40 residential complexes from the terrorist groups.

Syrian Army troops and popular forces inflicted major casualties on Jeish al-Fatah in the Eastern battlefields of Aleppo city on Sunday, capturing two more districts.

Damascus

The Syrian army reopened all routes leading to Khan al-Sheih in Western Ghouta of Damascus to take the first step in the implementation of the peace plan with the militant groups, a security source said on Sunday.

The source said that the first paragraph of the plan includes the terrorists’ surrender of heavy, semi-heavy and light weapons to the army and the start of their relocation to Idlib on Monday.

According to the source, the Syrian army has agreed to grant amnesty to those militants who want to remain in the region but those who want to leave Khan al-Sheih should surrender all their weapons, equipment, ammunition, maps of their tunnels and planted mines to the army first.

Meantime, local sources reported that a number of buses have been sent to the nearby areas of Khan al-Sheih.

The Syrian Army’s devastating attacks and advances in Western Ghouta forced the terrorist groups in Khan al-Sheih region to ask the government forces for a revival of the negotiations after they pushed the last round of peace talks into failure.

As ceasefire talks was in final stages to give the terrorist groups an opportunity to surrender in return for amnesty or relocate to Idlib province similar to other militant groups in Damascus province, the militants, mainly from the Al-Nusra Front, launched attacks to lift the army siege of Khan al-Sheih town irrespective of the truce and pushed the talks into failure.

After repelling terrorists’ large-scale attacks to lift the army siege in the town of Khan al-Sheih that pushed the peace talks into failure, the government forces intensified their attacks on militants’ defense lines in and outside the town and took full control of more regions.

The terrorists were forced to accept the terms of a truce after they lost over 100 fighters in the Syrian army’s recent anti-terrorism operations in Khan al-Sheih that ended up in the army’s tightening siege of the town.

“The recent victories of the army men in the al-Soqour region have compelled the militants to call on the government forces to declare their consent to the entire terms of the neglected agreement for leaving the region,” several dissident sources said through their social media pages.

Idlib

The Syrian Air Force carried out several combat flights over the gatherings and supply routes of Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in the province of Idlib, destroying a number of militant bases and strongholds.

The warplanes targeted the gatherings and supply routes of Fatah al-Sham in the town of Morek, the village of Skeik and North of the town of Souran in Northern Hama.

The fighter jets also bombed terrorists’ supply routes in the towns of Khan Sheikhoun and al-Tamanna and North of Abu al-Dhohour town in the Southern and Southeastern territories of Idlib, killing scores of militants, including their leaders after destroying a number of their command posts, bases, armored vehicles and arms and ammunition depots.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops and Air Force targeted ISIL’s positions in Eastern Homs and gatherings of Fatah al-Sham Front in the Northern territories of the province, inflicting a heavy death toll on the militants.

Syrian bombers targeted the gatherings and positions of the ISIL terrorists in the Southeastern side of the town of al-Quaryatayn and in the surroundings of al-Sha’er gas field East of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and the village of Rasm Hamida, killing a number of ISIL commanders and destroying one of their command posts and a number of their vehicles.

The army men also repelled Fatah al-Sham terrorists’ attack on a military post in Tal al-Qatri in the direction of Talbiseh, North of Homs city, killing or wounding all invading terrorists and destroying their equipment.

Backed up by the fighter jets, the army troops targeted bases and movements of Fatah al-Sham in the towns and villages of al-Mashari’a, al-Sheikh Ibrahim, Hawsh al-Zabadi, Hawsh Hajo, Talbiseh, and al-Farhaniyeh in Northern Homs, inflicting a number of casualties on the militants.

Sweida-Dara’a

Syrian Army troops continued to target the gatherings of the ISIL and Fatah al-Sham Front terrorist groups in the Southern Provinces of Sweida and Dara’a, inflicting a number of casualties on the militants and destroying their vehicles.

Syrian army’s artillery units targeted ISIL’s movements in the village of al-Qasr North of Sweida city, killing at least 10 terrorists and destroying two vehicles.

The army soldiers also targeted Fatah al-Sham’s position in the Western part of al-Nazeheen camp, killing most members of a terrorist group deployed inside a building in the surrounding areas of al-Masri roundabout in Dara’a al-Balad district in Dara’a city.

Meanwhile, Syrian soldiers destroyed three vehicles of Fatah al-Sham in the Northwestern part of al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh bridge in Northeastern Dara’a and in al-Bahhar neighborhood in Dara’a al-Balad.

Also, the army troops targeted terrorists’ concentration centers and gatherings in the Central parts of Dara’a city and in the Northeastern part of the same province, inflicting major casualties on the militants.
