Syria, Iraq Encounter Same Terrorism: Syrian Foreign Ministry

The Syrian foreign ministry condemned the terrorist acts which have stormed Iraq, asserting that Syria and Iraq are facing the same internationally-backed terrorism.

In a statement, the Syrian foreign ministry considered that Iraq is being exposed to terrorist acts in the framework of a global conspiracy against the Iraqi and Syrian peoples through a terrorist invasion targeting the Iraqi territorial integrity and the unity of its people and infrastructure.

It came after the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has controlled Iraq’s province of Nineveh and areas in that of Salahuddine and Kirkuk.
