Senior Cleric: Zionist Regime Under Siege of Islamic Resistance

Tehran's Provisional Friday Prayers leader Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard blasted the Israeli regime for its continued brutalities against the Palestinians and sacrilege of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and said that the Zionists are under the full siege of the Islamic Resistance Movement.

Addressing a congregation of people at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla (congregational prayers site), Hojjatoleslam Aboutorabifard said, “The occupying regime of Israel has been besieged by the Islamic Resistance forces.”

He blasted the brutality of the Zionist regime forces against Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Today, Palestine is the first and number one issue of the Islamic world and despite inhumane behavior and brutalities of Zionist regime forces against Palestinians in the occupied lands and territories, this issue is very hopeful for the Islamic world while it is a sign of despair for enemies of Islamic countries,” Hojjatoleslam Aboutorabifard reiterated.

He said that today, Zionists are under complete siege in Gaza Strip, West Bank and they have also has been besieged by the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement, Iraq’s Hash al-Sha’abi forces and brave Yemeni fighters.

The senior Iranian cleric reiterated that the situation is completely different in the occupied lands which is in favor of Palestinians and this path will continue until the immediate annihilation of the Zionist regime.

Hojjatoleslam Aboutorabifard’s remarks came as the people across the world took part in the International Quds Day rallies last Friday.

The International Quds Day is an annual event opposing Israel’s occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas. Anti-Zionist rallies and demonstrations are held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Muslim and Arab countries around the world, specially in Iran, as well as a large number of non-Muslim states.

The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.
