Day after day, Hezbollah – alongside the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) – expand their control over a number of sites in the Qalamoun Mountains of Syria; however, the news of the Lebanese Resistance and Syrian Armed Forces capturing the strategic village of Al-Balouksat has positioned the latter atop of the hills overlooking Jaroud Jarajeer to the south.

The operation to capture this imperative stronghold of the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” began at 5:30 A.M. (Damascus Time) on Thursday morning, when soldiers from Hezbollah and the Syrian Arab Army’s 20th and 128th Brigades of the 1st Armored Division positioned themselves near the outskirts of Al-Balouksat, where they would lay the foundation for their eventual assault on the enemy combatants.

With dawn quickly approaching, Hezbollah’s powerful infantry units began to creep closer to Al-Balouksat from their positions in the south, as the Syrian Armed Forces rained multiple mortars and rockets from the hills above the village; this would result in the Lebanese Resistance storming Al-Balouksat moments after the Syrian Armed Forces eased up on their rockets and mortars.

Not long after Hezbollah attacked the village, Jabhat Al-Nusra began to withdraw all of their combatants after sustaining a large number of casualties during the fierce clashes that took place at Al-Balouksat; as a result, Hezbollah and the Syrian Armed Forces were now in full-control of the area, leaving Jaroud Jarajeer in serious trouble for the Islamist forces.
