The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) did not attack the Turkish military in southern Aleppo last night, an official told Al-Masdar News this afternoon.
According to the official, the Turkish troops did not reach the southern Aleppo countryside, despite earlier reports of their forces reaching Point 4 near the town of Tal Al-‘Eis.
Had the Turkish troops reached the Tal Al-‘Eis axis, they would have effectively obstructed the Syrian Arab Army’s advance to the besieged Shiite towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya in the Idlib Governorate.
The official continued that the Turkish military convoy is still parked near the border-town of Atareb, adding that they are likely awaiting an agreement from the government to go to southern Aleppo.
