Syrian Army denies Tiger Forces commander killed in Deir Ezzor

On Tuesday, Syrian opposition media reported that the prominent commander of the Tiger Forces, Major General Suheil Al-Hassan, was killed in the Deir Ezzor Governorate (ISIS).

However, according to a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) source, all claims by the Syrian opposition about General Hassan’s well-being are false.

The source added that while General Hassan was alive and well, six soldiers from the Tarameeh Group of the Tiger Forces were killed during clashes with the Islamic State (ISIS) in Deir Ezzor.

General Hassan has been reported dead on several occasions in the past; however, all claims are unsubstantiated and posted by Syrian opposition and ISIS media.
