Syrian Army foils terrorist attack from Idlib buffer zone

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) managed to foil a big terrorist attack in the Idlib buffer zone, today, after the latter was spotted trying to infiltrate their positions.

According to a military source in Hama, terrorists of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s positions near the town of ‘Atshan along the Idlib provincial axis.

However, the Syrian Arab Army spotted the terrorists before they could infiltrate their positions this afternoon.

The source said the Syrian Arab Army’s machine gunners opened fire on terrorists in order to force them to immediately abort their infiltration attempt.

The terrorists often attempt to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s positions near the Idlib buffer zone in order to plant land mines and improvised explosive devices along the government roads.

Sometimes the terrorists are successful in planting these explosives, which later result in casualties for the Syrian Arab Army and pro-government forces.
