The Syrian soldiers and the National Defense Forces’ joint heavy offensives pushed the terrorist groups back from more positions in the Northeastern part of Damascus province and took control of an important military base in the region.

The Syrian government forces continued their advances against the Takfiri terrorists near Dumeir airbase and captured Badr Brigade Base after hours of non-stop battle with the militants.

The terrorist groups left behind tens of the dead and wounded members and pulled back the remaining pockets of their forces from the battlefield in order to find safer shelters.

The Syrian army and the NDF stormed the terrorists’ strongholds from the Southern side of Dumeir airbase and took control over several checkpoints before reaching to the Northern side of Bader Brigade Base.

Earlier reports said that the Syrian Army troops and the NDF continued to push the terrorist groups back from more lands in Eastern Ghouta and cut off their main line of supply in the region.

“The Syrian government forces won back the small but strategic town of Bala al-Qadhima and actually divided the Eastern Ghouta into two separated Northern and Southern parts for the militants groups,” the sources said.

“Liberation of Bala al-Qadhima ended in the Syrian government forces’ full control over the Harasta al-Qantara-Bezineh road that was the only communication road between the Northern and Southern parts of Eastern Ghouta and was one of the oldest and most strategic supply routes of the terrorist groups in the Eastern part of Damascus province,” they further added.

“The Syrian army, in the recent week, has followed the strategy of cutting off the terrorist groups’ supply lines to face them shortage of ammunition and arms,” the sources said.

“The army in its last offensives had cut off the entire supply line of the terrorist groups in the region, including a road connecting two small towns of Zebdin and Deir al-Asafir,” the sources added.

“The capture of Bala al-Qadhima will engage  al-Nusra Front terrorists in the Northern part of Eastern Ghouta in the dire shortage of foodstuff , ammunition and arms coming from the Southern part,” they said.
