Iranian Sunni cleric: “Takfiri thoughts are biggest threat for world of Islam.”

Abed Naghbi, Iranian Sunni cleric, in an exclusive interview on the sideline of International Islamic Unity Conference held in Tehran, highlighted the great potentiality of such conferences for removing challenges ahead of Islamic communities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The main objective behind these conventions is to exchange thoughts for solving the present issues in the region and the world of Islam as well as undermining the plots against Islamic unity.”

He stressed that the way to realize proximity is to practically follow the path of Islamic elites.

Iranian Sunni cleric reiterated that Sunni communities are in full contrast with Takfiri (excommunication) groups saying,” To issue the statement calling a person out of religion has a certain process and not everyone can simply be excommunicated.”

Abed Naghbi denounced Takfiri thoughts as the biggest threat for the world of Islam and demanded elites from different Islamic denominations to stand against the deviate movement.
