745f47bbe85254a39cbbf929664b44d2Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has urged the broad and heavy participation in the governorate council elections which are scheduled to be held next April. His Eminence explained, during his meeting with a large number of cadres of the Foundation of the Martyr of the Niche from all governorates of Iraq, at his Baghdad office on Thursday, March 28, 2013, that the patriotic and sacred duty requires everyone to vote to choose representatives for the local governments in the governorates. This represents the peaceful transfer of power in the democratic system which the people have chosen and granting the vote of confidence to those who can provide the service to the governorate residents.
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim listened to a number of remarks that concern the work and performance of the Foundation of the Martyr of the Niche during the upcoming phase, expressing his hope that the citizens will be successful in electing the competent and honest team and also the individuals in order to transcend the problems and the difficulties as well as the weakness of the services from which the Iraqi governorates suffer, including Baghdad governorate, during the past years.
