Syrian Army Wins Back New Strategic Area in Hama

The Syrian army troops, backed by Russian warplanes, liberated the area of Foru, located to the North of the city of Hama from the control of the ISIL terrorists.

On Wednesday, Scores of terrorists were killed and injured during the liberating operation.

The Russian Air Force reportedly bombed the terrorist’ positions around the area and a village located to the Northwest of Hama.

Earlier on Wednesday, military sources announced that over 29 terrorists were killed and several more were wounded in the Syrian army’s offensives in different parts of the provinces of Hama and Idlib.

The sources said that over 12 terrorists were killed in the army attacks on their positions in al-Ghaab plain in Hama province.

The sources added that Khan Sheikhoun area in the Northwestern province of Idlib was the scene of heavy clashes between the Jeish al-Fateh militants (Ahrar al-Sham, al-Nusra Front and Free Syrian Army) and the Syrian army troops, who killed at least 17 militants in the battlefront.

The sources also said that the militant groups in Khan Sheikhoun sustained heavy losses in the battle.

The army also destroyed tanks and armored vehicles of the militants in Tamanna and Skeak towns.
