The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), backed by Hezbollah, carried out a new ambush against a group of jihadist rebels in the western countryside of the Rif Dimashq Governorate, a military source in Damascus reported this afternoon.

According to the field report, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah carried out the ambush against a small convoy of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) fighters, destroying two of the aforementioned jihadist group’s technical vehicles.

The ambush reportedly took place along the road between the villages of Baqeen and Madaya in western Damascus.

The total number of militants killed is still unknown at the moment; however, Hezbollah’s media wing is expected to release a video showing the attack on Sunday.
