Syrian Army’s within 1km of splitting East Ghouta pocket: map

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) had another successful day in the East Ghouta region, capturing several localities from the Islamist rebels.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces division, the Syrian Arab Army scored a major advance on Wednesday, when their soldiers managed to capture the imperative town of Beit Sawa.

Once Beit Sawa was captured, the Syrian Army unleashed a powerful assault on the Islamist rebel defenses located between the aforementioned town and the vehicle management base.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army is only one kilometer away from splitting the Islamist-held East Ghouta pocket in two.

If the Syrian Army is successful in splitting the East Ghouta, they will have ultimately secured the vehicle management base and met up with their forces in the area.
