Syrian forces kills many foreign-backed terrorists in Aleppo

Syrian security forces have clashed with a group of foreign-sponsored terrorists in al-Hatab Square in the northwestern city of Aleppo.

Reports say the Syrian army has also destroyed armed men’s vehicles equipped with machine guns as well as roadblocks between Aleppo and countryside.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov has accused Western countries of supplying arms to terrorists in Syria.

Gatilov added that, there is growing evidence that the West is delivering massive amounts of weapons to Syrian armed gangs via third-party states.

He also criticized the Western powers for calling for more sanctions on the Syrian government while continuing to arm the terrorists.

Many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the unrest that began in Syria in March 2011.

The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the armed militants are foreign nationals.

The anti-Syria Western regimes have been calling for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down, but Russia and China remain opposed to the Western drive to oust Assad.

Russia has also rejected the idea of imposing no-fly zones over Syria, which the United States says it is ready to consider.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a recent interview with Sky News Arabia that creating “no-fly zones and safety zones for military purposes by citing an international crisis… is unacceptable.”
