Syrian Imams and Condemn the Abduction of the Two Bishops

Imams and preachers of mosques in Friday sermons condemned the abduction of the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Iskenderun, Bishop Paul Yazigi and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Bishop John Ibrahim by the armed terrorist group in Aleppo countryside.

Imams and preachers affirmed in their sermons that the armed terrorist groups which come across the borders and are affiliated to al-Qaeda are violating the sanctity of Christian and Islamic clergymen.

They considered the targeting of Islamic and Christian houses of worship, including the destruction of the Omayyad Mosque minaret in Aleppo, a proof of the criminal approach of enemies of holy religions.

Imams of Omayyad Mosque strongly condemned the abduction of the two Bishops, pointing out that this Takfiri approach is targeting Syria with all its spectrums.
