Syrian PM: Government Serious in inviting All Powers to Dialogue

20130225-181907_hPrime Minister Wael al-Halqi affirmed the important role of national economic activities in supporting the national economy and development as well as backing Syria struggle in the face of difficulties and challenges to which it is exposed.

The Ministerial committee charged with preparing for launching the national dialogue, headed by al-Halqi, met on Monday with Ghassan al-Qalaa, chairman of the Union for Chambers of Commerce and a number of businessmen and industrialists.

During the meeting, Prime Minister briefed businessmen with the administrative procedures and security and judicial guarantees given to the internal opposition and abroad if they participate in dialogue as well as inviting the displaced outside Syria to return home after providing them with requirements of good life.

He called on the businessmen who were forced to leave Syria to return and contribute to acts of restoration and construction.

Chairman of the Chambers of Commerce, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and industry stressed the need for boosting and building confidence among all partiers to make the dialogue process a success and provide true guarantees for that purpose.

They called for consolidating the law authority, guaranteeing public freedoms, and the freedom of expression and opinion, putting an end to negative and illegal practices as well as consolidating the culture of citizenship.

Al-Halqi, members of the Ministerial committee affirmed that dialogue is the best choice to come out of the crisis, adding that the government is serious in inviting all social and political powers, including opposition abroad and the armed groups to take part in the dialogue process.

Following the meeting, Bashar al-Nouri, Member of Damascus Chamber of Commerce stressed the importance of building confidence between the Syrian businessmen who left the country and the government, facilitate their back home and provide them with the guarantees for this purpose.

He pointed out to the necessity of intensifying efforts to stop violence and come out of the crisis.
