Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed Imam Khamenei: US, Zionist Opposes Iran for Applying Real Islam

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Tuesday that the United States and the Zionists antagonize the Islamic Republic because it observes Islam more explicitly.

“After the establishment of the Islamic Republic, which was a smaller model of the government of prophet (PBUH) and still continues, enemies of mankind tried to fight what served as an impetus for growth of the humanity, i.e. Islam, because Islam could stop injustice and tyranny against mankind,” IRNA news agency quoted the Leader as saying.

Imam Khamenei was talking during an address to a group of Iranian officials and ambassadors of Islamic countries, on the occasion of Eid al-Mab’ath, the anniversary of the day Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation and was chosen as Allah’s final messenger.

“Today, they (US and Zionists) fight the Islamic Republic more than any other country because Islam is observed more explicitly in Iran and the ground is more prepared here to act upon Islam. They oppose Iran because it prevents them (enemies) to attain their ill wishes.”

Talking on the presidential elections which will take place in Iran next month, the Leader called on the candidates to promise people they will not resort to foreigners to solve the local problems.

Imam Khamenei advised the candidates to promise to rely on people and not the foreigners for achieving economic development and solving the country’s problems, according to IRNA.
