Syrian Soldiers Engage in Fierce Clashes with Fatah Al-Sham in Dara’a

The Syrian army men stormed Fatah al-Sham’s base in al-Hamadi neighborhood in Dara’a al-Balad, claiming the lives of several terrorists at the base.

Also, all members of a group of Fatah al-Sham were killed after their gathering in the Eastern side of the refugee camp in Dara’a al-Balad came under heavy attack by the Syrian soldiers.

Several members of Fatah al-Sham were killed and several more were wounded in the army attack near the post building in Dara’a al-Balad.

The pro-government troops also targeted the strongholds of the militant groups in al-Bajabjah, al-Sibeh and East of Ba’ar al-Shiyah in Dara’a al-Balad, killing or wounding several militants.

The Syrian soldier also struck terrorists’ concentration centers along a road connecting Busra al-Sham to the village of Samad in Eastern Dara’a, inflicting several casualties on the terrorists.

In relevant development in the province on Thursday, the Syrian army units intensified attacks against the terrorists in Dara’a al-Balad region and repelled their offensive in the Eastern parts of Dara’a province, inflicting heavy damage and toll on the militants.

“The army targeted the Fatah al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra) Front terrorists’ gathering centers in Dara’a al-Balad region and killed and wounded several militants in the Western parts of the refugee camp and destroyed two of their machinegun trunks and bases in the Southern parts of Khazan al-Kark and Western parts of Bilal al-Habashi mosque as well as their watch tower in al-Abbasiyeh district,” a military source said.

The source added that clashes erupted between the Syrian army units and a terrorist group in al-Sarw farms in the Eastern parts of Basari al-Sham towards Wadi al-Zeid region in Eastern Dara’a that led to the death of a large number of militants were killed.

According to the source, the Syrian troops also targeted a pickup truck of Fatah al-Sham Front in al-Nae’imeh town and a bulldozer of the terrorist groups in the Southern parts of Tafas town, South of Dara’a.

The two vehicles were completely destroyed in the attack and several terrorists were killed and wounded, the source added.
