Syrian Top Comd. Ayoub: Resistance Axis’ Role Will Be Further Enhanced

Chief of the General Staff of the Syria Army and the Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub stressed that relations binding Syrian and Iranian armies are solid and strong and have been further strengthened through martyrs’ sacrifices in face of terrorism.

Speaking at a press conference with his Iranian counterpart Major General Mohammad Hussein Bagheri, Lt. Gen. Ayoub said “The accumulating military experiences have played a key role in eliminating terrorism, and we are sure that the role of the resistance axis will be further enhanced and its ability to face different challenges will increase.”

For his part, Major Gen. Bagheri said “We are here in Damascus to coordinate and cooperate in facing our common enemies of Zionists and terrorists, and we discussed means of enhancing relations in the future and we outlined that cooperation.”
