Syrians of occupied Golan Heights send aid to people affected by forest fires

The Tartous Governorate received two aid convoys on Friday, one provided by the people of the occupied Syrian Golan and the other by the people of Damascus to support those affected by the fires in the governorate.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted the lawyer, Rasha al-Hallah, who supervises the aid campaign provided by the people of the occupied Syrian Golan:

“The aid is an expression of the solidarity of our people in the occupied Golan with their families in the homeland, especially in the provinces that have been affected by the fires, and an emphasis on social values that bind the Syrian people in all circumstances.”

She indicated that the convoy was delivered in cooperation with the volunteer team in the Saed Association in Damascus.

In turn, Issam Habbal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saed Association in Damascus, indicated that:

“A volunteer team from several associations accompanied the convoy from Damascus to fully prepare the food baskets and present them to those affected.”

The agency quoted the Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus Mahmoud Al-Damrani as confirming that “the two convoys contain food, clothing and sterilization materials, indicating that the caravan presented by our people in the occupied Syrian Golan is an expression of their belonging to their motherland, Syria, and their standing with their countrymen.”
