Syrians Rally in Reef Idlib to Protest Al-Qaeda’s Child Molestation

mohajer20110625174707683Syrians held protest rallies in Reef (outskirts of) Idlib in Northwestern Syria on Friday to condemn sexual harassment of their children by members of the Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups.
Local sources told FNA that dozens of residents of Al-Dana region in Reef Idlib in protest rallies demanded immediate exit of the Sham and Iraq Islamic Emirate Group, an offshoot of the al-Qaeda in Syria and Iraq.

They said that people of Al-Dana are enraged at the growing number of child molestation by militants in the region.

The sources mentioned that the ringleader of the military wing of al-Qaeda in Syria and Iraq, Abu Osama al-Tunisi, has been informed of the sexual harassment of the children by his forces in Reef Idlib.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October 2011, calm was almost restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies sought hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots to topple President Bashar al-Assad, who is well known in the world for his anti-Israeli stances.
