Great Satan US says ready to support Blood-sucker France in Mali

The United States says it is ready to share intelligence and provide logistical support to aid the French military campaign in the West African nation of Mali.

On Monday, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta hailed France’s military intervention in Mali and said the US military was prepared to back the French bombing campaign in the African country, AFP reported.

“What we have promised them is that we will work with them to cooperate with them and to provide whatever assistance we can to try to help them in that effort,” Panetta said, adding that the assistance would take the form of logistical support, including the provision of aerial refueling tankers, and intelligence sharing.

US military officials have not publically announced any plans to deploy troops or conduct bombing raids in Mali, but claim that al-Qaeda-linked militants are trying to establish a base in Mali for operations in Africa.

On January 13, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said the US was providing support for the French-led military intervention in Mali.

The minister added that Britain, Denmark, and other European nations were also supporting the French push.

France initiated military action in Mali on January 12 to allegedly halt the advance of the rebels, who control the north of the West African country.

Chaos broke out in the African country after Malian President Amadou Toumani Toure was toppled in a military coup on March 22, 2012. The coup leaders said they mounted the coup in response to the government’s inability to contain the Tuareg rebellion in the north of the country, which had been going on for two months.
