Palestinian Teenager Fatally Shot Amid Zionist Military Operation in Northern West Bank
Zionist forces have reportedly shot and killed a Palestinian teenager during a raid in a town located in the northern occupied West Bank, Palestinian health officials have confirmed. This incident underscores the escalating violence in the region.
In the town of Salim, situated approximately six kilometers (3.7 miles) east of Nablus, a shooting incident was reported following an operation by Israeli forces on Friday. The incursion led to confrontations within the local neighborhood.
Israeli forces engaged with Palestinians, employing live rounds and deploying tear gas canisters.
The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, referring to medical sources, has reported that Abdul Khaliq Musab Jubour, a 17-year-old, was critically injured in the chest by live ammunition.
He was swiftly transported to Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus, where medical personnel pronounced him dead following unsuccessful resuscitation attempts.
Two young Palestinians sustained injuries and bruises Friday evening after being struck by an Israeli military jeep during a raid in Ya’bad town, located in the northern West Bank.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has confirmed that its teams administered initial medical assistance to the injured on site, prior to transporting them to hospitals for additional medical care.
Reports indicate that the two young individuals were on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.
On January 21, the Israeli military launched an operation in the occupied West Bank, asserting that its aim was to target resistance fighters associated with the Jenin Battalion.
Since the onset of the conflict in Gaza in October 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have reportedly caused the deaths of at least 957 Palestinians, with over 7,000 individuals sustaining injuries in the West Bank.
In a ruling delivered in July, the International Court of Justice determined that Israel’s enduring occupation of Palestinian territories contravenes international law, calling for the removal of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
