Tehran to host 51 foreign companies in flora expo

Tehran will host 51 foreign companies in the 8th Tehran International Flora Exhibition.

According to a Tehran Municipality official, the foreign companies to participate in the flora event belong to such countries as Germany, Spain, the UAE, Italy, Belgium, China, Sri Lanka, France and the Netherlands.

In an interview with IRNA on Saturday, Ali-mohammad Mokhtari also said the foreign companies will display their flora and equipment in 9 thousand of square meters of covered area and 5 thousand square meters of open space.

He referred to enhancing public awareness of the advantages of farming different kinds of plants and flowers, absorbing foreign investment in producing and cultivating flowers and plants in a bid to increase employment opportunities in this sector and promoting quality and quantity in the industry as some of the objectives pursued by officials in holding the exhibition.

Over 210 domestic companies are also taking part in the international exhibition which will last until May 14.
