The Syrian air force jets, in a series of intensive air raids on Monday, severely pounded the militants’ strongholds near a strategic airport in Idlib province military sources said.

The military sources said the airstrikes, carried out over militants positions near the strategic Abu Duhour airport in southeastern regions of Idlib province, claimed the lives of many militants and left more injured.

The Syrian army air force also destroyed a gathering of terrorists in Sinjar town in Idlib province destroying dozens of their vehicles including machine-gun mounted pick-up trucks during the aerial operations over the city.

Also on Monday, the Syrian artillery units carried out massive shelling attacks on positions and gatherings of the terrorist groups in the town of al-Tamanna and the city of Jisr al-Shoughor in Idlib province, causing heavy casualties among the terrorists in the region.

Yesterday, military sources reported that the Syrian Army’s artillery units have been pounding two strategic towns in the Northern regions of Idlib province, inflicting heavy loss and damage on them.

The sources said that pounding the positions of militants in the two towns of al-Najiyeh and Bdama is a follow up of the operation that started last week. “The militants’ positions have been under the heavy shelling by the Syrian army artillery units leading to huge losses and damage on the militants,” they added.

Elsewhere, the Syrian Army heavily shelled the positions of the terrorists in the town of al-Tamanna in the Northwestern province. The attacks claimed the lives of more militants in the region, according to the report.
