60 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Iraq’s Samarra

The Iraqi troops continued to press ahead with their military campaign against the ISIL in Samarra on Thursday, which lies 110 kilometers North of Baghdad, killing more than 60 militants, said a senior military commander on condition of anonymity.

Head of the Iraqi Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, Hakem al-Zameli, also announced on Thursday that the army soldiers backed by popular forces managed to liberate the areas of al-Rumailat, Sayed Gharib, al-Laiyn and Samarra Island from the control of the terrorist group.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
