The commander of IRGC Navy issued a stern warning, stating that any assault on Iran’s interests will elicit a decisive retaliation

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy issued a strong warning, asserting that any military threats directed at the Islamic Republic will be countered decisively.

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri expressed his views during an interview with Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news channel on Friday evening, coinciding with Trump’s warning to Iran of dire consequences if it fails to reach an agreement with the US concerning its nuclear program.

In a firm statement, Tangsiri emphasized that while there is no desire for war, any attempts by adversaries to threaten their interests or harm their citizens will be met with a decisive response.

He stated that Iran has the military capacity to target enemy bases globally, emphasizing that any location from which an attack is initiated against the nation will be retaliated against.

The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a stern warning, stating that any attacks on their vessels would be met with reciprocal force. Should their ships face confiscation, the commander vowed to take similar measures against the adversary’s vessels. He emphasized that any act of aggression would not go unanswered, indicating readiness to pursue retaliation even as far as the Gulf of Mexico.

Tangsiri emphasized that Iran remains steadfast against pressure and threats, asserting that neither Trump nor any other entity will be permitted to exert influence over the Islamic Republic.

Regarding the potential blockade of the vital Strait of Hormuz, he indicated that the decision lies with top-level authorities, and his forces would be tasked with executing the order if issued.

A high-ranking Iranian military official downplayed the importance of Trump’s statements and warnings, stating, “I am not familiar with Trump’s message, nor am I interested in evaluating it. I hear his threats, I see his actions, and I ready myself to respond to them.”

Tangsiri firmly dismissed any prospect of Iran entering into talks regarding its missile program and its backing of resistance groups throughout the region.

He stated that Iran backs resistance movements as a means to defend the oppressed, while emphasizing that it does not impose its will on these groups.

The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy asserted that Yemen operates autonomously and is not under Iran’s supervision, highlighting that the country possesses its own independent military and leadership.

During his address, Tangsiri emphasized Iran’s aspirations for peaceful relations with neighboring countries, assuring that Tehran does not represent a threat to other nations in the region.

He stated, “We consistently reach out with a gesture of friendship to nations within the region. As Muslims, we represent no threat to our neighboring countries.”

Iran has extended an invitation to Arab nations to join in military exercises, according to Tangsiri, highlighting the involvement of representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iraq, and Kuwait in the maneuvers.

The chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has announced Tehran’s willingness to conduct joint military exercises with Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

He highlighted that the Sultanate of Oman is considered a close ally and friend, with which Iran conducts regular military exercises.
