The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei: Certain officials’ apathy will not derail Iran’s movement

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has said that certain officials’ apathy will not cause the movement of the Iranian nation to divert from its correct path.
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks in Tehran on Friday during a meeting with a number of war veterans who fought for the country during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

If the country’s officials follow the correct path, they will encourage the society to follow suit, Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding, “We inspire the society through our resistance and correct actions. And, of course, we must be aware that the movement of the Iranian nation will not be derailed by certain people’s lethargy and apathy.”

“The path that began with the Islamic Revolution will continue. And you have seen that certain people laid down the burdens of responsibility during the movement of the nation, but the passionate youth picked them up immediately, and, Inshallah (God willing), will carry them to the destination,” the Supreme Leader stated.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei added, “Today, we are faced with two enemies. One is the evil (global) arrogance (forces of imperialism), and the other is our inner selves. If someone takes steps and makes decisions while practicing piety, the ground will be prepared for spiritual and material progress.”

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei also noted, “The sins committed by those who have political, administrative, managerial, preaching, and religious responsibilities acquire wider dimensions.”

During the meeting, the Supreme Leader also praised the war veterans and their families for the tremendous sacrifices they have made.
