Thousands of Egyptians rally in Tahrir square in support of their Gazan brothers

Simultaneously, the Egyptian Premiere Hisham Qandil visited Gaza briefly on friday where he said that Cairo will intensify its efforts to end the agression on the palestinian people.

During the protest which was called for by the ruling Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptians vowed to stand by their brothers in Gaza against what was described by President Morsi as Israel’s ‘blatant aggression’.

The Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi had recalled Egypt’s ambassador to Tel Aviv in an unprecedented show of support to Gaza in the face of the Israeli war on Gaza.

Egyptians have also held demonstrations against the Israeli onslaught on Gaza. After their revolution, they feel that the time when Egypt turned a blind eye on their neighbor is over and they want to see their government cut all ties with Israel.
