Syrian Army Dispatches Hundreds of Troops to Hama Province

The Syrian Army has forwarded more troops to Northern Hama as the government forces are preparing for a large-scale operation in Idlib province, field sources reported on Sunday.

The sources said that hundreds of Liwa al-Quds Palestinian fighters – that had previously been dispatched to Deir Ezzur – were sent to Northern Hama to take part in an imminent large-scale operation against the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Idlib province.

The sources added that the army men have had the terrorists under continued and vast artillery fire in Northern Hama in the last few days, including terrorists’ strongholds in the towns of Kafr Zita and al-Latamina.

Relevant reports said on Saturday that the army’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at Al-Nusra positions in the towns of al-Latamina and al-Mosheirefeh in Northern Hama, leaving several militants dead and their equipment and positions destroyed.

Also, the army aircraft bombed Al-Nusra’s strongholds in the villages of Ibn Wardan, Um Zahmalak and Abu Dali in Northeastern Hama, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
