Truce in Eastern Ghouta largely holding despite violations by militants

The Syrian army has declared parts of the Eastern Ghouta region near the capital Damascus as a de-escalation zone. A ceasefire went into effect in the area on Saturday; however, militants have since carried a number of attacks against government-held positions.
