Trump’s Letter Dispatched to Iran
Iran's foreign minister has confirmed the receipt of a letter from the President of the United States. The communication was conveyed through a senior diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, according to official statements.

Anwar Mohammed Gargash, serving as the senior diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, conducted an official visit to Tehran on Wednesday. During his visit, Gargash engaged in discussions with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, marking a significant diplomatic interaction between the two nations.
In a recent Instagram post, Araqchi announced that discussions regarding Iran-UAE relations and various regional issues took place during their meeting.
He further stated that a communication from the President of the United States had been received.
On Wednesday evening, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, addressed recent comments from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the United States’ willingness to engage in negotiations and reach an agreement with Iran. Additionally, Ayatollah Khamenei responded to a letter sent by President Trump to the Iranian authorities.
The Leader has criticized these actions, describing them as efforts to mislead international public opinion. He stated, “Although I have yet to receive this letter, the US is trying to spread the narrative that ‘Iran is unwilling to negotiate and reach agreements, unlike us.’ However, it is the same individual making these claims who previously dismantled the results of our past negotiations with the United States. How can we engage in talks with someone we know will not uphold their commitments?”
In response to a newspaper article claiming that a lack of trust between warring factions should not impede peace talks, the Leader dismissed the assertion as misguided. He clarified that without mutual confidence in each party’s dedication to honoring the results of negotiations, the parties will likely refrain from entering into talks. Such discussions, he noted, would be unproductive and devoid of purpose.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the primary aim of the ongoing negotiations has consistently been to achieve the lifting of sanctions. He noted with optimism that the influence of these sanctions is steadily waning as discussions continue over time.
The Leader emphasized that certain segments of the American population assert that extending the duration of sanctions will eventually lessen their effectiveness. He further noted, “In addition, the nation facing sanctions will inevitably seek and often find ways to evade them, a challenge we have met with success through numerous strategies.”
In a statement addressing the United States’ assertions to hinder Iran’s potential nuclear armament, the Iranian Leader remarked that if the nation had intended to develop nuclear weapons, the U.S. would not have been able to thwart such efforts. The Leader further emphasized that Iran neither owns nuclear weapons nor seeks to acquire them, citing previously articulated reasons for their lack of interest in such armaments.
