A report by Anadolu claimed that ISIS captured 25 oil workers in the Iraqi city and executed ten after a quarrel erupted over the division of revenue from oil sales.
Another 18 people were killed by ISIS in Mosul on Sunday, again because it was alleged that they had smuggled oil.
another report says that ISIS also killed journalist Tha’er Ali, who was working for the Public Opinion newspaper. Also Nasruddin Ali al-Kurd, the local amir of ISIS, was killed by volunteer fighters in Mosul.
ISIS took control of the Iraqi city of Mosul in June last year. Iraqi government forces, along with militias loyal to Baghdad and Kurdish troops have been fighting to regain the areas under ISIS control.
