Turkish Army Orders Troops Stationed in Iraq to Withdraw Immediately

The Turkish army’s decision came in the wake of the failed military coup in Turkey, the Arabic-language media outlets reported.

The Turkish army had sent hundreds of its troops to a military base in Northern Iraq.

Following dispatch of Turkish force to Northern Iraq, the Iraqi government and people voiced their opposition.

The Iraqi government also filed a complaint at the United Nations against the Turkish government.
