Turkish Lira continues to fall against major currencies

The devaluation of the Turkish common currency, lira, has been going from bad to worse month on month this year. It appears that the currency will have little respite until after parliamentary elections due to be held in June. With a slowdown in investment and a sluggish economy, markets are increasingly geared toward what the elections will deliver.
