Turkish-made cache of weapons in Yemen

The Yemeni sources have reported on the discovery of a Turkish-made cache of weapons in Yemen.

According to IRIB World Service, citing Tasnim news agency, the Yemeni security forces said on Sunday that a consignment of Turkish made weapons has been found in southwestern Yemen and the smugglers of this cache of weapons have been detained.
The Yemeni security forces added that the smugglers moved this cache of weapons into Yemen via the Red Sea coastlines and loaded it for southwestern Yemen.
Efforts to smuggle weapons into Yemen continue to this day despite the adoption of intense security measures throughout the Yemeni coastal belt as of early May.
In the recent months, the Yemeni security forces have found and seized several arms consignments which had been smuggled to Yemeni southern ports via Turkey.
