Ceasefire in Yemen was Saudi Arabian defeat: senior MP

A senior member of parliament Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Wednesday that the announcement of ceasefire in Yemen means a strategic defeat for Saudi Arabia and a victory for the Yemeni nation.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with IRNA, Boroujerdi said that the talks over Yemeni crisis have entered a new phase and that ‘we have to wait to see to what the outcome of diplomatic talks would be.’

Boroujerdi, the head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said that Iran was opposed to military aggression on Yemen from the very beginning.

Boroujerdi said that Iran’s four-point peace plan showed that there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis.
