Syrian PM: Syria will not allow manipulation of citizens’ livelihood

20130719-163842Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi stressed that the current challenges facing Syria need concerted efforts and bringing together the capabilities of all Syrians to overcome them.

Al-Haqi was speaking during separate meetings with the newly-appointed governors of Quneitra and Homs, Maen Salah-Eddin Ali and Talal al-Barazi respectively.

He hailed the victories of the armed forces and Internal Security forces in hunting the armed terrorist groups, affirming the importance of the national media in facing the media war that continue side by side along with the military, economic and political war waged against Syria.

Premier al-Halqi reiterated that the government will continue its policy of subsidizing food and oil materials to put an end to the rise of prices and meet all the citizens’ needs.

He stressed that the government will not allow any one or any party inside or outside the country to manipulate the value of the Syrian pound and the people’s livelihood, pointing out that Syria has enough strategic stockpiles of the various basic food and oil materials.
