The United States and the United Kingdom launched new airstrikes targeting the Yemeni capital

United States and British military aircraft have launched fresh airstrikes on Yemen's capital, Sana’a, as a strategic response to the Arab nation’s recent actions against Israel.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network has reported that three airstrikes hit the September 21st Park in northwestern Sana’a on Tuesday. The park was formerly the site of the First Armored Division.

In a series of coordinated airstrikes, United States and British military aircraft launched an assault on the al-Ardi complex in Sana’a’s al-Safiyah District and the May 22nd Military Industrial Complex in the al-Thawra District. The operation involved a total of eight airstrikes targeting these strategic sites.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has verified recent coordinated military actions carried out by American and British forces, announcing that several “precision strikes” have been executed against targets in Yemen’s capital province of Sana’a, as well as other areas within the nation, within the past 24 hours.

Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the spokesperson for Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement, stated that the assault on Yemen constitutes “a flagrant breach of the sovereignty of an independent nation and is conducted in support of Israel.”

He further stated that Yemen is committed to defending itself against any acts of aggression and remains resolute in its support for Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, the Yemeni populace has openly voiced its support for Palestine’s resistance against Israeli occupation, as Israel intensifies its military operations in Gaza.

Yemeni forces have launched strikes on various targets within the occupied territories and have also targeted Israeli maritime vessels navigating to or from Israeli-occupied ports in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced that their military operations will persist until Israel ceases its ground and air assaults in the Gaza region.
