Iran refuses to engage in negotiations with Washington under the conditions set by Trump

A diplomatic insider within the Iranian government has reportedly informed media outlets that Tehran has firmly conveyed to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov its unwavering stance against engaging in direct negotiations with the United States under the conditions set by Donald Trump.

A senior diplomatic source revealed to Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen news network on Saturday that during his recent trip to Tehran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his willingness to facilitate Iran’s nuclear discussions with the United States through diplomatic means.

According to a source, Tehran has expressed its approval of Russia’s proposal but firmly conveyed to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that it would not engage in talks with Washington under the conditions set by the Trump administration.
