Unity of Muslims makes enemies desperate
‘Religious leaders have always advised Muslims to have solidarity among them and avoid division; enemy plots including 8 year of imposed Iraq war couldn’t hurt the will of Iranian nation in support of the Islamic Republic; Iran’s revolution have been inspiring for all oppressed nations around the world, including the ongoing waves of revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa,’ Ayatollah Nouri Hamadani said.

Muslim Unity is a term that refers to establishing good and peaceful relations among the various Islamic sects.

The primary objective of Muslim Unity is to unite all Muslims around the world. Although some divisions such as Shia/Sunni exist among Muslims, according to the proponents of Muslim Unity these divisions are negligible and Muslims from different countries should forge closer ties with each other.

Since the start of 2011, the Middle East and North Africa have witnessed a growing wave of popular protests resulted from the people’s growing awareness and vigilance.

Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.

Libya was the third country touched by the Islamic Awakening. Libyans also embraced victory after months of bloody campaign against the country’s dictator, Muammar al-Qaddafi.

Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their rulers, who have resorted to crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.
