Up to 180 Inmates Take part in UK Prison Riot

Up to 180 inmates at Southeast England’s Maidstone Prison took part in a riot.
Britain’s prison authorities confirmed there had been an incident in one wing of the facility on Saturday, and that more prison officers had been deployed to the scene.

Citing the Prison Officers Association, the BBC reported that prisoners were angry because they spent too long in their cells as a result of recent cuts.
