Syria in Last 24 Hours: ISIL’s Command Center in Deir Ezzur Destroyed in Syrian Armed Forces’ Attacks

The army aircraft launched heavy bombing on ISIL’s strongholds and movements in water resources hill, Panorama base, the two neighborhoods of al-Roshdiyeh and al-Kanamat, Tamin Brigade base and al-Maqaber (cemetery) region in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists and destroying one of the main command centers of them in the village of al-Hassan in Western countryside of Deir Ezzur.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The army’s artillery units pounded ISIL’s concentration centers in Panorama base, the neighborhood of al-Hamidiyeh and the village of al-Baqaliyeh in the Western outskirts of Deir Ezzur, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Also, 15 civilians, including women and children, were killed and several more were wounded in the US-led coalition air raids in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir Ezzur.

The US-led coalition warplanes bombed heavily the town of al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, killing eight civilians and wounding several more.

Also, the warplanes raided the village of al-Sobheh in Eastern Deir Ezzur, killing a number of civilians, including several children.

In the meantime, the coalition fighter jets pounded residential areas in Raqqa city, killing seven members of a family.

Aleppo

The militant groups, affiliated to the Turkish Army, and the Kurdish fighters exchanged artillery fire in Northern Aleppo.

The Ankara-backed militants’ mortar and missile units opened heavy fire at the positions of the Kurdish combatants in the village of Ein Daqnah in Shahba region.

The Kurdish fighters’ artillery and missile units further carried out retaliatory attacks and pounded the militants’ strongholds in the town of Azaz and several villages near the town.

According to field reports, the militants managed to prevail over the Kurdish forces’ defense lines and captured one of their positions.

Meantime, the army troops purged two main towns and their surrounding regions in Eastern Aleppo of ISIL terrorists and called on civilians to return to their houses and farms.

The General Command of the Syrian Armed Forces called on the residents of Maskana and Deir Hafer regions and their surrounding regions to return to their houses and farms to restart normal life after the pro-government forces reinvigorated security in Eastern Aleppo by forcing ISIL terrorists to retreat from more positions.

Also, news websites affiliated to the terrorist groups reported that long convoys of the Turkish army vehicles have arrived in Manbij region in Northeastern Aleppo.

The websites said that the Turkish military convoys entered areas surrounding the town of Manbij that is under the control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces via the border passage of the town of Jarabulus in Northeastern Damascus.

Based on reports, Northern and Northeastern Aleppo, specially the outskirts of the town of al-Bab that is under the control of Ankara-backed Free Syrian Army have been witnessing deployment of military convoys in the last 10 days.

Homs

The army troops continued to push ISIL terrorists back from more positions toward the town of al-Sukhnah, while the pro-government forces repelled terrorists’ offensive near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur).

The army soldiers captured al-Heil energy field and its oil pumping station in Eastern Homs after regaining control over several regions between Palmyra and al-Sukhnah, the ISIL’s vital stronghold en route to Deir Ezzur.

In the meantime, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL that attacked their positions al-Heil oilfield Northeast of Palmyra and managed to fend off their offensive.

ISIL lost 16 members in the failed attack.

In the meantime, the army troops continued to strike ISIL’s defense lines in Eastern Homs and managed to capture more lands in Syria’s Badiyeh (desert) en route to Deir Ezzur.

The army soldiers engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL terrorists along the road that connects al-Heil oilfield to the town of al-Sukhnah and imposed control over several heights overlooking the Northern and Eastern sides of the third power plant East of Palmyra city.

Also, the Russian Air Force carried out several combat flights over ISIL’s positions and targeted their command centers and arms and ammunition depots in al-Sukhnah.

A military source said that a large number of ISIL militants were killed in the operation.

A field commander reported on Monday that the army troops continued to push ISIL back from more positions in Eastern Homs and deployed less than 10km away from the last bastion of the militants en route to Deir Ezzur.

The commander in Eastern Homs Operation Room said that the army increased its advances against ISIL towards the town of al-Sukhnah and managed to capture several more positions.

The commander said that the army men were less than 10km away from the town of al-Sukhnah that was considered as the last stronghold of ISIL in Eastern Homs and a gate to the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force pounded ISIL’s positions in the depth of al-Sukhnah and Humeimeh al-Kadir to accelerated the ground forces’ advances in the region, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Damascus

Jeish al-Islam, in a statement on Monday, announced its breakup in Eastern Ghouta after the terrorist group’s recent defeats in the battle against the Syrian Army troops in a bid to form a new group in alliance with other militants in the region.

Jeish al-Islam’s statement said that the terrorist group agreed with the proposal of the Military Council of the Militants in Damascus province for a merger of all militant groups to create a united front to be capable of slowing down the rapid advances of the army troops in the region.

Jeish al-Islam’s Spokesman Hamzeh Beiraqdar said in the statement that his forces were ready to cooperate with the proposal that will end crisis among Jeish al-Islam, Faylaq al-Rahman and Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board).

Meanwhile, the army troops continued their anti-terrorism operation in Eastern Ghouta and drove the Al-Nusra Front militants out of their most important strongholds in Ein Terma region.

The army forces engaged in clashes with the terrorists of Al-Nusra Front in Eastern Damascus and managed to take control over several key buildings and positions in Ein Terma.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force bombed heavily the positions of Al-Nusra in Ein Terma.

A military source reported that the army soldiers managed to push Al-Nusra back from its key positions and imposed full control over the meat-packing company and its nearby buildings, killing several militants.

Dara’a

Media sources affiliated to the terrorists disclosed that the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board of the Al-Nusra Front) held talks in the Southern province of Dara’a over breakup of the latter or its relocation to militant-held regions in Idlib province.

The Arabic-language news websites quoted well-informed sources as saying that the commanders of the Southern Front in a meeting with the commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at in Dara’a offered two options for ending Tahrir al-Sham’s presence in Dara’a.

The sources added that the FSA (Southern Front) has requested Tahrir al-Sham to accept breakup and affiliation to other militant groups or leave the region for Idlib.

Raqqa

The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against ISIL terrorists in Southern Raqqa and managed to capture several villages and oilfields in the depth of Badiyeh (desert).

The army units engaged in tough battle with ISIL in Southern Raqqa and managed to capture the village of al-Zamleh al-Sharqi, al-Zamleh pumping station, al-Zamleh gas field, Khala’a gas field and al-Fahd oilfield in the depth of Badiyeh.

The army men killed tens of terrorists and destroyed two tanks, a bomb-laden vehicle and four more military vehicles.
