Rotting ISIS corpses left all over rural Deir Ezzor following latest Syrian Army advance

ISIS terrorists continue to suffer major losses (both in terms of manpower and territory) in Deir Ezzor Governorate as the Syrian Arab Army and other pro-government forces maintain their general offensive throughout the entire province.

Footage has been released on pro-government social media showing the Shaheen combat group of the Syrian Army’s elite Tiger Forces Division storming the Euphrates island of Huwayjat Kati to the north of Deir Ezzor city, engaging besieged ISIS militants and leave a trail of jihadist corpses in the wake their advance.

According to military-affiliated sources, the Tiger Forces are currently in control of about 70 percent of Huwayjat Kati with ISIS militants having suffered many dozens of dead since army troops stormed the island.

Reports go on to say that Islamic State fighters have been mostly expelled from Huwayjat Kati’s countryside and are now cornered in the residential section of the island where the few remaining civilians are being held captive and used as human shields.
