Syrian Army Continues to March on Terrorists’ Positions in Hama

The Syrian Army troops continued to hit hard the terrorists’ strongholds in Northern Hama and managed to recapture more lands after hours of non-stop clashes, well-informed sources said Saturday.

The sources said that after a week of deadly clashes in Northern Hama, the militants’ defense lines finally buckled on Friday as government forces retook a large part of the territory from various terrorist factions in Central Syria.

They added that the Tiger Forces alongside the army soldiers stormed numerous checkpoints on the proximity of the Christian city of Mahardah.

The sources went on to say that after a brief firefight in the afternoon, the Syrian army seized the Khattab warehouses and Tal Flifleh hilltop just to the North. Minutes later, government forces also seized the Al-Shliout and Abu Ubaydah checkpoints on a different axis in what appears to be a major counter-offensive.

Effectively, a looming terrorist assault on Mahardah town was repelled by the army men in the eleventh hour, they further said.

The army continued to advance against Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board) in Northern Hama on Friday, and seized several more villages and towns in the province.

The army launched a powerful assault on the positions of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at in Arzeh village from their positions at Tal Shihah.

According to army reports, the charge led to a series of intense clashes that lasted for several hours on Thursday and early Friday.

The reports said the army soldiers and their allied forces restored security and stability to the villages and towns of Eastern Arzeh, Western Arzeh, Qusai’ya, Belhosain and Kharbat al-Hujamah and took control over the Shihah hill North of Hama province following the clashes.
