Iran not interfering in Bahrain’s internal affairs

IMG07581039Iran is not interfering in the internal affairs of Bahrain or any other country in the region, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said recently.
“Tehran is not interfering in the affairs of Bahrain and other regional countries,” Amir-Abdollahian told reporters, adding that Iran had always supported a political solution to the situation in the Arab country.

According to the Bahrain News Agency, Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said in Manama on Sunday that the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers was good for all regional countries but stated that the problem with Iran was not confined to its nuclear program and includes Iran’s meddling in the internal affairs of Persian Gulf countries.

In addition, the Bahraini minister said that Bahrain rejects any military action on Iran.

The last thing for any Persian Gulf citizen to think about is to back an attack on Iran because this does not “please ourselves and is against our very interests,” the minister said.
