Hamas says to continue battle against Israel until full independence

Hamas will keep up the battle against Israel until the achievement of complete independence, says a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement.

In a press statement on Monday, Husam Badran said Hamas is exercising resistance while undertaking political and negotiating work to reach a clear and specific goal related to the needs of the Palestinian people in general and the Gazans in particular.

Badran said the position of the Hamas negotiating delegation is firm given the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their resistance on the ground.

The Hamas official said an end to Israel’s hostilities in the Gaza Strip, the delivery of humanitarian aid and the return of the displaced are the priorities of the resistance movement.

The official said Hamas’ proposal is based on a clear reconstruction plan and is not limited to the release of prisoners as promoted by the occupying forces.

Badran said continued international pressure on Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu has put him in a weak position.

Netanyahu, the regime’s prime minister, does not want to reach any agreement and is deceiving the Israelis and the families of the captives to cover up his political and security failure, the Hamas official said.
