Israel releases Palestinian after 25 years

Tal Aviv has released a Palestinian after 25 years of imprisonment in Israel, the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported.

The captive was identified as Abdul-Rahim Sa’id Mansour, from the Bal’a village near Tulkarem, in the northern part of the West Bank.

Mansour’s brother, Ibrahim, was killed by Israeli soldiers in 1988. He was the first Palestinian to be killed by Israeli soldiers in Tulkarem during the First Intifada.

There are more than 10,000 Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails.
