The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Monday stressed that Tehran is pleased with the increasing authority of Iraq both in the region and in the entire Arab world.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei made the remark in a meeting with the visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation.

Pointing to growing ties between the two countries, he hoped his talks in Tehran would pave the way for further expansion of mutual relations.
