Larijani Starts Regional Tour, Hails Resistance Victories

Iranian House Speaker, Ali Larijani stressed Friday that “the defeat of Zionist regime in Gaza is a sign of resistance’s evolution and the Palestinian nation’s power.”

Larijani made his remarks in an interview with reporters ahead of a regional tour.
In parallel, the Iranian official confirmed that the failure of Zionist regime in the 8-day, 22-day and 33-day war against the resistance movement in Palestine and Lebanon changed the regional scene and proved the resistance’s power.

He further noted that he will confer latest regional and international developments with his counterparts.
“Unfortunately, some western countries are impeding the Syria approach toward reform but Tehran is committed to support democratic reforms there and it is against adventurous actions,” he reiterated.

Larijani is scheduled to pay a visit to Turkey after visiting Syria. He would conclude his trip by visiting Lebanon at the end.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast congratulated the victory of the Palestinian resistance against the “Israeli” aggression.
“This victory is the result of the legal resistance of the oppressed Palestinian nation against the aggression of the Zionist regime,” Mehmanparast stated.
He further slammed the international community for its silence of “Israeli” war crimes, and called for lifting the “Israeli” blockade off Gaza immediately.
“Muslim countries should be vigilant toward the divisive plots of Zionist regime and protect their unity,” he added.

On a similar note, Gaza’s Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh thanked Iran for supporting Gaza, and described the Palestinian resistance as stronger because of the Islamic Awakening Movement.
